Interaction between the children: are there group work time?
Most activities are individual. There are, however, activities that can be done with 2 or 3 children.

Apart from the Montessori equipment activities, what are the other activities?
Art, music, psychomotricity are included in the form of activities and are an integral part of pedagogy.
How are children monitored?
The follow-up of the children is individual. The educator observes the children and follows the acquisitions with a grid. The child evolves in an environment in which all activities are at his / her disposal. Thus, he may choose a “work” provided that it has been presented to him. Presentations are made by the educator according to the age and / or interest of the child for the activity while respecting a certain progress.
How is the integration of the child when he joins the primary/preparatory education?
Academically, he will be at the required level. On a personal level, the child will have learned to organize, to manage his own work, to adapt himself positively to new situations … And above all, what seems to be the most important aspect: he will have confidence in himself and in his abilities, he will have developed his concentration and experienced pleasure and desire to learn.
These capacities promote the quest for knowledge throughout life and allow the child to integrate easily into any new system.
It is certain that a child raised with respect for him will find differences in the other school systems, which are marked for the most part by a greater rigidity.
Experience shows that these children adapt well to the new constraints and retain the qualities developed during their Montessori years. Parents must trust the child’s great qualities of adaptation.
How does bilingualism works in practice?
The children are immersed in a continuous French-English linguistic environment.
The learning of a new language is done in a natural way, through the same process of mother-tongue transmission from parents to children.
Nursery rhymes, stories, games are in French as well as English. The objective is to enrich the vocabulary.
What are the class regulations?
Maria Montessori wrote that the freedom of a child “must have as a limit with regards to the common good, and as form what we call the education of manners and gestures”.
Thus, autonomy and initiative are promoted, but always within a precise framework. The freedom of children is therefore accompanied by clearly defined rules such as respect for others and the environment. In practical sense, it is for example; not to run, to put everything in its place, to whisper in order not to disturb the work of the comrades, to communicate with words rather than with the body …
Is snack time the same for all the children?
The snack is a pretext for the activity of the child. In order to respect the rhythm of each child, snacks (usually fruit) will be available to the children. Also the child who may be hungry will be able to take one of the plates placed at his disposal and choose to cut an apple, squeeze an orange or to buttered a piece of rice cracker.
